GCSE students from St Paul’s Way Trust, Raines and Central Foundation Girls’ School attended a Drawing Through Fashion workshop delivered by University of the Arts London Ambassadors. Students were engaged in a series of drawing exercises, where they explored drawing models/volunteers dressed with fashion props/items/fabrics. The drawing exercise focused of drawing styles and built up confidence to enable students to work collaboratively on two large scale mismatched figures. Final outcomes used a combination of linear drawing and collage to realise their collaborative pieces.
Students explored, developed and increased:
- confidence and creative decision-making
- experimental practices and process
- spontaneous and new ways of working – collaborative practices
