Mark Oliver and Mark Long aka Pencil+Help.delivered two workshops: stencil screen printing and photo transfer screen printing.
Workshop 1: 13th January 2015
Stencil screen printing
They planned and delivered an initial workshop based on stencil making and printing for a 2 colour screen print. Working from simple geometric shapes THAT teachers created 2 layer screen printed designs.
Workshop 2: 28th January 2015
Photo-transfer screen printing:
Their second workshop focused on photo emulsion transfer using a UV unit to set the screens in order to create a longer-lasting screen design. The artists showed us how to coat, expose and rinse the screens and get ready to print.
