Creative Workshops – partner organisation workshops 2018-2019

As part of each of our annual THAT network exhibition at the Art Pavilion, we coordinate a programme of workshops working on a wide range of themes, ideas and experiment with new ways of exploring art. Our partner organisations and artist educators plan and deliver the bespoke workshops to a range of young people from our schools across Tower Hamlets. Our aim is to give young people the opportunity to explore art ideas and making outside of the school setting.

Our Discourse on Contemporary Drawing 2019 exhibition at the art pavilion included a programme of workshops, which our partner schools engaged with at the Art Pavilion as well as at the Whitechapel Gallery and the Chisenhale Gallery.

Our workshop programme included the following providers:
THAMES – Judy Grahame KS2 Making your Mark workshop
Bow Arts – Illustration and printing making workshop
Royal Drawing School – Experimental Drawing: Movement and Pose workshop
University of the Arts London – Central Saint Martins (UAL-CSM) – Drawing through fashion workshop
‘A’ Team Arts – Protest Banner Drawing – Campaign for the Arts workshop March 2019
Chisenhale Gallery – A Discourse on Contemporary Drawing student CPD workshop
Whitechapel Gallery – A Discourse on Contemporary Drawing student CDP workshop
