‘A’ Teams Arts – Creative Careers What is an Art and Design career? and Campaign for the Arts workshops 2018

February 2018 Morpeth school, Bow School and Central Foundations Girls’ School took part in a What is an Art and Design Career look like? workshop at the Art Pavilion. UAL Ambassadors presented a UAL film about Art and Design options at university and career paths. They presented portfolios of work for different subjects areas e.g Fine Art and Textiles.

As part of the session students explored a range of careers and were asked what career they had in mind? The ambassador tutors spoke about careers routes and ways to achieve their goals …. and a spoke about a range of other careers with creative links .

Finally students created a campaign for the arts postcard. This was part of ‘A’ Team Arts campaign to send postcards to the education minister from young people telling the minister why the arts are important.

There was an evening CREATIVE PATHWAYS DISCUSSION SESSION at the Art Pavilion with the Tower Hamlets youth forum exploring the cuts in art provision across schools and in the community and their participation in the campaign for the arts.
