THAT network has organised a collaborative project titled: Visual Thinking Part I, involving the full range of visual art specialisms (textiles; photography; fine art; digital media and ceramics) with the focus on interdisciplinary approaches to creative thinking and how art education has a positive effect on students’ learning across the curriculum.
For ‘Visual Thinking Part I’, THAT network’s art departments from 14 schools across Tower Hamlets will submit a range of artworks produced by all key stages in the various specialisms available at their particular school.
These outcomes will be exhibited at the Art Pavilion over two weeks Thursday 27th February – Sunday 8th March times 10.30-5.30pm and Monday 9th March 2020 10.30-2pm, launched with a Private View on Thursday 27th February 2020 5-8pm.
Over the course of two weeks, various workshops on creative thinking and interdisciplinary approaches, will be delivered by our partners for students and the local community in LBTH. In addition, all our creative partners (THAMES; Whitechapel Gallery; Chisenhale Gallery; The Royal Drawing School; Auto Italia; Bow Arts; UAL:Insights; ‘A’ Team Arts; The Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design; RIBA; Spotlight and Great Art,) will have an active presence at the event to showcase their organisation’s contribution to learning across the curriculum and engage with guests at the Private View.
